Bring Tucker Home!

  • November 1, 2012

Tucker ran away on 10/17/12 from a caretaker in Tewksbury while the owner and family were on vacation. The caretaker failed to notify anybody of the disappearance. Now they are in desperate search of their beloved dog. He was last seen on South St. The owners name is Kristine at 978-804-3692. We're asking everybody in the community to join in the search or call her with any leads. She said the dog is very submissive to other animals and fears the worst with the local coyotes despite being 75lbs. He's also timid around people and may run if chased, so she's asking for people to contact her immediately if they see him. Tucker is a Pit/Lab mix with fawn/white markings. Thank you very much!

This is the second time in a week I've heard of negligence in taking care of a dog while an owner is away. How crappy of these so-called care-takers.

Hi Kristine,
My name is Julie and I just called you regarding Tucker. Please let me know if this was him that I saw on Main Street. My thoughts are with you and I really hope that this was him and good luck. If this was not him, then all you owners out there PLEASE take watch of your animals. This poor dog was running around at the edge of Main St. and I was so afraid he was gonna get hit.

Julie unfortuantely no one has spotted him! I immediately called the ACO who just called me back...he was out looking for him and has had no luck. My friends and family have been canvassing the area with no luck. I will be out from sun up to sun down tomorrow searching the area with my other dog. I can only hope that I can spot him early in the morning like you did today, I can then send off my other dog and I will be able to get him back very quickly! They have a very special bond and she is so upset right now, she wouldn't even go out last night with out me being by her side which is very unlike her. It's so sad, not to mention my 7 year old is devastated! I greatly appreciate everyones help and leads!

OK, that's about 30 seconds from Shawsheen Place at Tewksbury. I'm telling you that if you haven't gone there with your other dog to go!!! There are walking paths along the perimeter of the property and several semi-paths in the way back by the playground. The playground is behind the carports by the tennis court.

I was there last night Kirsten with my other dog. I will be back first thing in the morning. I did just receive a confirmed report that he was definitely hit by a car on Wednesday night. He was down and howling and when they went to help him he bolted in the woods and they couldn't find him so he could be hurt. However, the newest reports are that he is running so hopefully he isn't hurt!

Oh my God!!! I'm still praying for you and Tucker. I haven't seen him, but I'll be back tomorrow! If he's up and running, that's a good sign!!! This poor little guy! My heart aches for all of you.

If given the opportunity, do you think he'd let me leash him if given the chance? I was thinking about grabbing a few cans of dog food (the smelly stuff that all dogs love). If I see him and actually get him to come eat, will he let me leash him?

He does have on his collar and is an absolute gentleman on a leash! He is much better with woman than he is with men so there is a good chance. Its really tough to say since tomorrow will be a whole week that he's been on the run.

Sorry, things have been crazy! Tucker is still not home! He was recently spotted at the Ryan School on Pleasant St on November 5th at 12:20 pm, on November 6th he was spotted crossing 38 (AGAIN) at the Country Club heading onto club property at 4:30 pm, then at 9:30 pm he was at the Condos on North Street. We hadn't had a report of him since October 26th but heard on November 4th that he was spotted crossing 38 at the TD Bank heading onto the side of the road where the police station is. Thank you so much everyone for continuing to keep an eye out for him!
