TEWKSBURY - Joan (DiZazzo) Munn, age 77, died Thursday, August 19, 2010, in Winchester Hospital, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late, William Munn, who predeceased her in 2001. She was born in Wakefield on October 31, 1932, the daughter of the late, Carmine and Ann (Russo) DiZazzo. She was raised in Stoneham, graduated from Stoneham High School class of 1950, and later, moved to Tewksbury to raise her family. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children and their spouses; Patricia J. Munn of Stoneham, Thomas S. Munn of Tewksbury, James W. Munn and his wife Rebecca (Swiller) of Lowell, Lisa M. Haynes and her husband Roy of Wakefield, her brother; John DiZazzo of VT, five grandchildren; Rachel, Derek, Erika, Crystal, Amber, two great grandchildren; Codey, Cailey, and her best friend for over 60 years; Joyce Runge of FL.

She was the sister-in-law of the late Jerry DiZazzo.

Visiting hours are Monday, August 23, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of Dewey and Main Sts. (Rte 38) Tewksbury Center, phone 978-851-2950. Her Funeral will begin Tuesday, August 24, at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. William Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial donations to Children's Program Housing Families, Inc.
