Today is Friday, June 29 and here are 5 things you need to know:

1. T Hikes: If you're riding the train this weekend, beware. The price to ride will be going up on Sunday. In addition, For inbound trips, the MBTA will follow its current policy of charging an on-board surcharge for customers who do not purchase tickets before boarding at stations where fares may be purchased before boarding. The surcharge will be $3 for on-board purchases on designated trips.
For outbound trips (departing from South, North, and Back Bay stations), ticket machines or windows are always available.  More than 90% of outbound commuter rail trips depart from these locations, making ticket purchase convenient for such trips.

2. Weather: It's heating up! Temperatures will soar back into the 90's and the sun will be shining.
