6 Things To Do This Weekend

If you can't find a community activity to be a part of this weekend then you are really trying to avoid people.

 

Run / Walk 5K for THE FARM

When/Where: Saturday, May 5, 8:45 a.m., T.H.E. Farm at Strongwater, 500 Livingston St., Tewksbury.

Why Go: This is a great event to benefit all the work being done at T.H.E. Farm. Even if you don't run or walk, stop by and cheer on the runners!

Pricing: Free to watch. $25 to register to run or walk.

28th Annual Tewksbury School District Art Show

When/Where: Saturday, May 5, 7 p.m., Tewksbury High School, Pleasant Street.

Why Go: Tewksbury is blessed with some amazingly talented young artists. This event shines a spotlight on the best of the best.

Pricing: Free

2nd Annual Golf Ball Drop

When/Where: Saturday, May 5, 10:30 a.m., T.H.E. Farm at Strongwater, 500 Livingston St., Tewksbury.

Why Go: Hundreds of golf balls dropping from a helicopter hovering in the sky and the owner of the golf ball that lands closest to the hole wins a $1500 cash prize. Need we say more? Oh, yes, proceeds to benefit the great programs at T.H.E. Farm.

Pricing: Free to Watch. $20 to buy a golf ball.

JOYRIDE Performs Live At TJ Callahans

When/Where: Saturday, May 5, 9 p.m., T.J. Callahan's, 1475 Main St., Tewksbury

Why Go: There's nothing like great live music on a Saturday night, especially with no cover charge!

Pricing: Free, no cover.

Tewksbury Youth Baseball Parade

When/Where: Sunday, May 6, 1 p.m., From Ryan School on Pleasant Street to the East Street baseball fields.

Why Go: It's spring and nothing says spring like baseball. Watching the young ballplayers in the annual parade cerainly brings back memories for many people. Stop by, wave to the kids and cheer them on. They'll appreciate it!

Pricing: Free

Run a Pleasant Mile 5K Road Race

When/Where: Sunday, May 6 9:30 a.m., Tewksbury Memorial High School

Why Go: This road race will benefit the boys and girls track and cross country programs at Tewksbury High. Even if you are not running, you can stop by and cheer on the runners.

Pricing: Free to watch, $10 to register for the kids' fun run. $25 to register for the 5K on race day.

I'll tell you...i went to see my kids elementary work...but boy...Those High School Art Students do a WONDERFUL job...very impressed! Thank you to the people who put this all together!
