A Burglary, Domestic Assault and a Masked Driver

New Year brings several arrests for Tewksbury Police.

 

A Lowell man is facing charges for domestic assault and battery after an incident at the Motel Caswell, 450 Main St.

The motel clerk called police after another tenant said that a male and a female were smashing things in one of the rooms.

Officers responded to the scene and, after a brief investigation, arrested Carlos M. Osorio, 40, of 94 Rock St. in Lowell. He is charged with assault and battery and violation of a protection order.

Unpleasant homecoming

Thursday, just after 3 a.m., a man called police to report that he had come home to discover that his YV, laptop and I-Pod were all missing from his home. Officers responded to 68 South St.  and Det. Regan was notified.

Mailbox swiped

Thursday, just after 9 p.m., police received a call from Scholl Plumbing and Heating, 16 Greenhalge St.  The male caller reported that his mailbox had been stolen. He said that his wife had retrieved the mail at around 7 p.m. and everything was fine but that he had just noticed the box was missing.

Who was that masked man?

A detail officer working on North Street noticed that the driver of a car passing by was wearing a ski mask. An officer stopped that vehicle at 433 North St. and after a brief investigation, no charges were filed. However, the car was towed for safety reasons.

Tewksbury man faces charges in Salem

A Tewksbury man was indicted this week by an Essex County Grand Jury in connection with an alleged department store robbery back in Novermber.

Stephen P. Brennan, 57, of 2499 Main St., Tewksbury, is charged with larceny over $250. Prosecutors say Brennan stole $3,000 in jewelry from Nordtrom's. If convicted, Brennan could be sentenced to five years in jail.

Arrests

Roberto Grannel-Quinones, 33, 9 Aventine, Providence, R.I., arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Robert E. Seeliger, 19, 12 French St., Tewksbury, charged with OUI-liquor and speeding.
