The historic property at 464 Main St. has had many roles over the years. The 18th century building was once the Hardy Homestead. For a time it was the Rosewood Restaurant.

Today, it is owned by the Ginsburg family and will soon open as A Novel Cafe.

About this column: Each Saturday, Then and Now will take a look back into Tewksbury's past, courtesy of photos supplied by the Tewksbury Historical Society. On Sunday, we will show both the old photo and the same location in 2010, to provide a glimpse at how the community has (or in some cases hasn't) changed through the years. Related Topics: #Edchoice
