A Vehicle Wanders Off and Roving Deer Wanders In

Early morning call proves that sometimes the car does just get up and leave on its own.

Police received a call at around 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, from a man reporting that his car had disappeared from the parking lot of Bank of America, 986 Main St.

The man reported that he had no idea who had taken the vehicle or in which direction it had gone.

While the man was still on the line with the dispatcher, he reported that he had, in fact, located his vehicle. He believed that he may have forgotten to put the car in park and it rolled to the back of the parking lot.

The Be On the Lookout (BOLO) was cancelled.

Fight at the gym

At around 5 p.m. Tuesday, police received a call from an employee of Planet Fitness, reporting that an assault had just taken place between two clients. Officers responded to the scene. The alleged victim refused medical attention and the alleged perpetrator left the area.

Vehicle struck by deer

At around 7:30 p.m. Monday, police received a call from a motorist stating that she had struck a deer with her car about an hour earlier. She said the incident took place at the intersection of Andover Street and Ames Pond Drive. The woman reported significant damage to the vehicle.
