Off-Duty Police Officer's Observations Lead to Drug Arrests

A man and woman thought they were out of sight of the prying eyes of law enforcement when they chose the parking lot of the Keri Plaza to park in with drugs in their possession on Friday, Jan. 4 at 5 p.m..
They were mistaken.
A keen-eyed, off-duty police officer saw the pair acting suspiciously in a vehicle and reported it to dispatch. Four officers responded to the scene and a short time later, the pair was under arrest.
Christopher James Hutchinson, 23, 53 Heath St., Somerville, is charged with possession of a Class A drug.
Gina M. Murray, 20, 135 Elm St., Tewksbury, is charged with possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class B drug.
Two-car crash sends one to the hospital
One person was injured as the result of a two-car crash at the intersection of North Street and East Street, Monday morning. The crash was reported at 10:53 a.m.
Responding officers determined the crash was caused by one driver failing to stop at a posted stop sign. The driver was issued a citation. The injured person was taken by ambulance to Lowell General Saints Campus. Both cars were towed.
A Chandler Road resident called police on Jan. 6, just after 3 p.m. to report that their dog was missing. The dog was described as a black/brindle hound dog that is sometimes mistaken for a Lab.
The dog's name is Chester and it has a red collar with Tewksbury dog tags.
Jamie L. Albertion, 32, 1 Villa Roma Drive, Tewksbury, was arrested on Jan. 7 on a warrant.
Christina Costello, 24, 65 Oxford Road, Tewksbury, was arrested on Jan. 6 and charged with OUI-liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
Michael Eastman, 19, 50 Pine St., Tewksbury, was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with being under 21 in possession of alcohol.
Cindy Madrid, 27, 64 Bennington St. #2, Boston, was arrested and charged with selling or delivering alcoholic beverages to people under 21.
Steven Lee Zeda, 19, 6 Freemont St. Apt. B, Lowell, was arrested on Jan. 6 and charged with being under 21 in possession of alcohol.
Roger A. Caterino Jr., 47, 19 Rangeway Road, Billerica, was arrested on Jan. 5 and charged with operating a motor vehicle after his license had been revoked, an improper turn and failure to yield.
James Rivers, 25, 113 Bradford Ave, Apt. C, Fayetteville, NC, was arrested on Jan. 5 and charged with OUI-liquor.
Gerard M. Cuddy Jr., 37, 135 Franklin St., #203, Stoneham, was arrested on Jan. 5 after being found parked at Motel 6 behind the wheel of a car that had been reported stolen. He was charged with receiving stolen property in excess of $250. More charges are possible.
On Sunday, Jan. 6, at 5:29 p.m., a Patten Road residence reported a breaking and entering at their home.
On Sunday, Jan. 6, the owner of a property on Patrick Road called police at 7:54 p.m. to report that someone had broken into her property and had left items behind. Officers responded to the scene. After an investigation it was determined that the condo association had to enter the building to repair some pipes. What was left behind was some of their work gear.
On Sunday, Jan. a River Road resident called Police at 12:40 to report malicious damage to their property at ome time overnight.
On Saturday, Jan. 5, a Deering Road resident called police at 8:21 a.m. to report someone had broken into their vehicle some time overnight.
