Attempted Child Abduction Reported in South Tewksbury

A young girl is home safe after a frightening encounter with a potential kidnapper over the weekend.
According to a Tewksbury Police report, Wilmington Police notified them regarding an attempted abduction that took place around Green Street in Tewksbury, near the Wilmington line.
According to the report, a 10-year-old girl said that an older man driving a tan Ford Taurus, approached her on the street Friday night. The girl said the man tried to get her to get into his car by telling her that he needed help looking for his lost dog.
The girl refused to get into the car and the man drove off.
Tewksbury Police interviewed the girl and her father and a report on the incident was filed.
Medical call leads to an assault arrest
A Lowell woman is facing assault charges after calling 911 on a medical call.
According to a Tewksbury Police report, Kelly A. West, 29, of 173 Branch St., Apt. 3, Lowell, called 911 on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 12:19 a.m., from a room at the Motel 6. She reported that her boyfriend had overdosed.
However, after police and medical crews arrived on scene, the events played out quite differently. The man refused medical attention and West was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct. Details of the actions that led to West's arrest were not immediately available.
Additional arrests:
Mark N. Donnay, 51, 8 Michael St., Tewksbury, was arrested on Sept. 10 and charged with driving a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
Christy Fernandez, 33, 3 Armory St., Nashua, NH, was arrested on Sept. 9 and charged with larceny over $250 after a shoplifting incident at Walmart.
Steven M. Dodge, 53, 14 Locke Road, Billerica, was arrested on Sept. 8 and charged with possession of a Class E substance.
Additional incidents:
On Monday, Sept. 10, at 2:44 p.m., police received a call from Leroy's Lodge, 460 East St. The caller said that someone had broken into a strong box and had stolen a substantial amount of money.

I saw a older lady I'd say late 60's maybe.
driving a tan Taurus down our street 3 times I followed her and she went to main st and then towards Wilmington.
I don't know if that was related but i take my kids to the vfw all the time to ride there bikes/power wheels/skateboards/scooters ECT and no parent has Informed me about it either and we always talk with the parents around there kinda scary that no one I know has heard about this at all
