Bank Robbery Suspect Nabbed By Market Basket Employees
One day after robbing TD North Bank, suspect is alleged to have robbed grocery store.

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the robbery of the south Tewksbury branch of the _TD North Bank on Friday._
However, it wasn't a police officer who took him into custody ... it was grocery store workers.
Herman “Lee” Wiitala Jr., 33 of 14 Charme Road, Billerica, was arrested on Saturday afternoon after trying to rob the Market Basket supermarket on Wood Street in Lowell. The Lowell Sun reported that Wiitala walked into the store and handed a note demanding money from a cashier. He did not show a weapon.
According to the Sun report, Wiitala was given an undisclosed amount of money by the cashier and tired to flee the store. However, he was detained by the store manager and another employee until Lowell Police arrived.
After learning that Wiitala was in custody, _Tewksbury Police detectives_ were able to identify him as the same person shown _on surveillance footage from the The TD North bank robbery._
Wiitala is scheduled to be arraigned on charges on both cases on Tuesday in Lowell District Court.

Do they still allow them to make license plates or is that cruel and unusual punishment to make them work these days lol? I think we should outsource all correctional facilties to places like India, China, & Bangladesh. I am sure they would do it much cheaper and it would certainly be a better deterrent. These people are not afraid of jail and I personally do not want them around.

I know for a fact when the Market Basket store manager detained "Lee"...they had to run to aisle 5 to get a box of tissue because he was crying like a little girl who just lost her puppy.
