Best of Patch: Who Makes The Best Subs?
Please vote for your favorite sandwich place by taking our poll and by clicking on the directory link and writing a short review.
Our inaugural Best of Patch contest kicks off this week with food on our minds.
Do you have a favorite sandwich place or sub shop in town?
Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:
Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey.

Remember you can support your favorite sub shop in three ways ... Click on their name and leave a positive review on their directory page, leave a comment here and vote in the poll. You can do all three every day.

I know Market Basket is not considered a sub shop, but they make the best subs in Tewksbury for a very affordable price. They do not skimp on the meat!

Not the fanciest place. But very good, fresh food at fair prices.

I just left Wicked Cheesy with a Fireball, small pepperoni pizza, kamikaze wings, and a meatball sub. And I did it because of this column! I'll report back later. I always avoided this place because I hated the name!

My favorite sub is Wicked Cheesy's Plymouth Gobbler! It's like Thanksgiving on a roll!

Ok. Everything was great. Pizza was fresh, and very tasty. The Fireball was, indeed, a fireball! Delicious combination of steak and chicken

Carl's in Waltham or Lando's in Acton (same owners) has the best IMHO. The Cherry Bomb!

Well, if we're going down this road, I'll vote for Pat's in south Philadelphia. Stuff is mind blowing.

Local "most bang for your buck" goes to Cafe Sicilia hands down. Their large subs easily feed two people or an individual twice and are loaded in their ingredients.

What is the difference between a sub, grinder or hoggie.
Got to admit I don't eat these anymore; however, New London Style Pizza in Concord was my favorite.
