College Notebook, Part 9

The achievements of Tewksbury residents at colleges and universities.

 

Union College Graduation

Michelle Caplan, of Tewksbury, MA, graduated from Union College on Sunday, June 10 during the College's 218th Commencement exercises.

Caplan, a Psychology major, received a Bachelor of Science degree.

Before the 530 Union College graduates received their degrees, MSNBC talk show host Dylan Ratigan, a 1994 alum of the college, gave an upbeat and energizing message for graduates nervous about leaving college to face the harsh realities of a world markedly different from the one when they entered Union. Ratigan is the host of "The Dylan Ratigan Show" and author of the New York Times bestseller "Greedy Bastards." He challenged the class to "throw out the rulebook and dive head first" into their individual pursuits, despite an uncertain future.

Roger Williams University Dean's List

The following local residents are among those named to the Roger Williams University Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Michael Fugate, a Philosophy major and resident of Tewksbury, MA

Alyssa Kelly, a Legal Studies major and resident of Tewksbury, MA

Rebecca Quigley, a Graphic Design Communications major and resident of Tewksbury, MA

Ithaca College Dean's List

Keegan Sheehy, a resident of Tewksbury and a Performance major in the class of 2014, was named to the Dean's List in Ithaca College's School of Music for the spring 2012 semester.

Matthew Porcaro earns Law Degree

Matthew J. Porcaro graduated from American University, College of Law, with a Juris Doctor Law Degree on May 20, 2012. American University is located in Washington, D.C.

Assumption College announces Dean's List

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester at Assumption College. To make the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
