Dad Deals Drugs From Car As Daughter Sleeps In Backseat
Suspect also found to be in possession of a stun-gun.
As his four-year-old daughter slept just a few feet away in a car seat, a 23-year-old Lowell man is alleged to have been conducting drug deals from his car in the parking lot at Walmart.
Joshua Sanchez, of 99 Orleans St., Apt 1, Lowell, was arrested by Tewksbury Police Thursday night and charged with distribution of a Class B substance (oxycodone), conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, and possession of an electronic stun gun.
According to a Tewksbury Police report, officers were conducting surveillance in the parking lot of Walmart at 333 Main St. Sanchez was seen in a 2012 Toyota Venza, selling drugs to a second man in a 2011 Honda CRV.
According to police, after they moved in they learned Sanchez had sold the man six oxycodone tablets (percs). The officers noticed Sanchez' daughter was asleep in the back of the car and learned that his wife was in the Walmart.
When she came out of the store, Sanchez' wife took custody of their daughter and their car, as Sanchez was arrested.
In the meantime, officers were also able to locate an electronic stun-gun inside Sanchez’s vehicle which Sanchez and his wife confirmed was his.
According to the police report, the Department of Children and Families was notified and a 51A was filed. Sanchez was arraigned at Lowell District Court on Nov. 30.

Well not altogether surprising. Isn't there a lot of (illegally gained) money in that line of work (aka crime)?

Most likely collecting...SSI, food stamps...section 8,..etc....the dope money is a tax free supplement. He will be out soon selling his drugs again. Unless of course he was just trying to turn his life around.

What is sad is that people place a status or importance on a 2012 Toyota. Who cares if it is new or rusty if it starts and gets you from point A to Piont B safely. What is important about an auto (or a home) is that it is paid for.
