Mother Nature makes for an eventful week in Tewksbury news.
Here are five people who made headlines for the week of Jan. 10-16.
Marc Ginsburg -- The local developer and owner of the Tewksbury Country Club stepped up and saved the Father-Daughter Dance that had been in jeopardy because of the Recreation Department investigation.
Mother Nature -- Winter weather took center stage midweek with a storm that dumped 20 inches of snow on the region. Town government and schools were closed but power outages were limited and accidents were few.
Richard Montuori -- The town manager announced this week that the 2012 Budget situation was not good, with state Sen. Barry Finegold informing local officials to expect cuts in state aid. However, Montouri said layoffs are not expected.
Mike Davidian -- The Tewksbury High wrestler is off to an outstanding start this season, leading him to be named Tewksbury Patch Athlete of the Week.
Sara Lavado -- The Tewksbury woman is a fierce football fan but her team is not the New England Patriots. She is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, so big that she is a finalist to be enshrined in Packers' Fan Hall of Fame.
