Deck Your House and Win $100,000 for Tewksbury Public Schools

Get out the lights and holly. Your decorating could net $100,000 to our schools.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to win a $100,000 gift to the Tewksbury Public Schools. Patch.com is launching a nationwide contest to find the best dressed home in its Patch communities, and the winner’s school district will receive $100,000, no strings attached.

Here’s how the contest works. Beginning on Dec. 8 and continuing through Dec. 26, you can nominate your home by uploading a photo to the contest entry form on the site. During that same time period you and your neighbors will also be able to vote for your favorite festive home. The winning entry will be forwarded to a national Patch judge that will select 24 finalists. Each finalist will receive $500 that they can apply to their December electric bill.

From Dec. 30 through Jan. 8 you will be able to vote for the Best Decked House in all of Patch. The grand prize winner’s school district will receive a $100,000 check from Patch.

So, get out your lights and ladders (and your competitive spirit!) Whether your style is sophisticated or silly, we want you to dress up your house in the name of good cheer and our kids. At the very least, Tewksbury will be decked out like it’s never been before. And if we win, what better gift could we give to Tewksbury kids?

If you’ve got any questions, post them below and we’ll share the answers with everyone in town. Click here for full contest rules.

OK guys, we've got two entries but can definitely use some more. Talk to folks whose homes are totally decked out for Christmas. And remember, you can vote for your favorites every day!

Bill, is this contest only through FB, because I have logged in here and tried to vote, but it won't let me. It tells me I have to log in through FB, which is kind of crappy.

Hi Mo,
I am heading out in about 2 hours & will be stopping by Rockvale. I will be out for the evening but if I can "borrow" a computer for a few minutes will try to upload a pick. If I am successful I will be messaging you to get the word out - only 1 day left to get some $ for our schools! :)

Hi Maureen .... the Facebook button just makes it easier to log in to vote. I think you can also log in with your twitter long in. Or you can register on the voting site and then just log in that way each time you vote. Whatever is easiest and most convenient for you.

Yeah that wasnt phrased well ... sorry about that Patty. Facebook is just a method by which you can log in easily. You can also log in via twitter. Or you can log in just through a regular registration. Facebook and Twitter were just made available so that you wouldn't need to create a brand new registration if you didnt want to.
