Drug Arrest, Break-In And Main Street Car Accidents

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Back-to-back two car accidents tied up traffic on Main Street for about an hour Monday afternoon.

The first crash took place near 778 Main St. and was reported at 1:52 p.m.

While Tewksbury Police and rescue crews were on their way to that accident, they came upon a second crash, involving a pair of vehicles near 900 Main St. Three vehicles wound up being towed from Main Street. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Arrest:

Javier Troche, 36, 76 Milton Ave., #2, Dorchester, was arrested on July 31 and charged with distributing a class B substance and drug violations in a school zone.

Additional incidents:

On Aug. 1, at 4:19 a.m., a Chandler Street resident reported that a tree had fallen across Chandler Street. The responding officer reported that the tree was completely blocking the road. DPW was called and a crew came and removed the tree.

On July 31, at 8 p.m., a Woodcrest Drive resident called police to report a beak-in at his home. He said that his neighbor had been checking in on his house while he was out of town and the neighbor reported that the house had been broken into. An officer responded to the scene and a report was filed.

On Monday, July 30, at 9:27 p.m., a Ronald Drive woman reported that a bat had flown into her home. Police gave her the number for Commonwealth Wildlife Control.

On Monday, July 30, at 1:03 p.m., Manchester, NH Police called to report locating a car that had been reported stolen out of Tewksbury.

Bill, still no report of the accident at the Salem St/ South st intersection; wonder why this is going unreported? Is it being swept under the carpet ?
