The Tewksbury Historical Society will be having its fall meeting on Sept. 22 at the North Street School.
The meeting will start at 6:00pm. The first order of business is to re-dedicate a plaque in room #1 for Ruth Tingley Anderson a former teacher in the school. Room #1 was the site of the first school library at the North Street School.
David Marcus will be talking after the re-dedication ceremony about the development of the Town Meetinghouse and the following buildings that were the churches and town halls plus the different schools that were located in the center of town.
The public is invited and the event is free. Future events planned are the 2nd Annual Cemetery Tour hosted by our Society expert on Cemeteries. She will focus on some Civil War Veterans as part of this year's Civil War Historical Events. In late November and early December, the Society will be having its Talent Show tryouts and then the 3rd Annual Celebration of Charter Day with a terrific talent show to host Tewksbury's 277th Birthday.
