Graduations are about more than mortar boards, speeches, or even diplomas.
At the end of a four-year experience, graduations are about people and relationships and memories.
Friday night at Costello Gymnasium on the campus of UMass Lowell, the 217 members of Tewksbury Memorial High's Class of 2011 celebrated those relationhips with those people and generated a few more memories.
Editor Bill Gilman was on hand to capture these images from a night students and families won't soon forget.
