Juveniles Taken Into Custody After Report of Possible Explosion
Estranged husband reportedly throws boxes at wife.
Police responded to the vicinity of the former Dollar Store on Route 38, after receiving a call from an employee of Mac's Dairy Farm, who stated that a group of youths had just set off a "Works Bomb" near the vacant building.
A "Works Bomb" is commonly made by putting a variety chemicals found in the home into a two-liter soda bottle.
According to a police report, officers responded to the scene and three juveniles were taken back to Police Headquarters. No charges were filed. There was no damage reported to the building.
Box throwing results in arrest
Police responded to a call from Newton Avenue, just before 7 p.m. The caller reported that her soon-to-be-ex was throwing boxes at her head. Three units responded to the scene and Scott Lawson, 38, 25 Newton Ave., was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Teen girl out of control
Police responded to a home on River Road Friday afternoon, after a 911 caller reported that her 15-year-old daughter was out of control. Officers placed the teen into custody and charged her with willful and malicious destruction of property, assault and threatening to commit a crime.
Sharp-eyed officer makes drug bust
A sharp-eyed Tewksbury Police officer noticed a suspicious man and woman on Pike Street and wound up arresting both of them on drug charges.
Jorge A. Navarro-Correa, 23, 25 Randall St. Apt. 2, Manchester, NH, and Alexis Maldonado, 23, 328 Lowell St., Apt. 117, Lawrence, were both charged with possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate the drug laws.
Raymond C, Coan, 48, 162 Powell St., Apt. 1. Lowell, is charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegally attaching plates, and an outstanding warrant.
Raymond U. Goss Jr., 56, 12 Bell Road, Tewksbury, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Philip W. Natale, 31, 5R Lake Ave., Woburn, was arrested on an outstanding warrant, following a minor motor vehicle accident on North Street.
Derek Connolly, 27, 580 Middle St, Apt. 6, Weymouth, was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant.
Kristine Jarvis, 31, 1066 Andover St., Tewksbury, was arrested Thursday on an outstanding warrant.
