The next casino trip will be a visit to the Mohegan Sun on Thursday, March 7th. Tickets go on sale next Monday, February 11th at 8:15 AM.
The Friends Senior Center Valentine's Dance will be held this Friday, February 8th. The Entertainers Band will provide music for the evening. Tickets will be available at the door at $10 per person.
Due to President's Day holiday, the February MS Support Group will take place next week, the second Monday of the month, on February 11th at 10:00 AM. The public is welcome to these meetings.
Representative James Miceli's office hours day at the Senior Center has been changed. The new date scheduled is Tuesday, February 26th beginning at 10:00 AM.
The Golden Age Club will hold its regular monthly meeting next Wednesday, February 12th at 12:30 PM. GAC Bingo will follow the business meeting.
A represenative from Elder Insider will be at the Senior Center on Wednesday, February 13th, to present a free and fun seminar on “Organize, De-Clutter & DeStress Your Life!” The seminar will be held from 10 to 11 AM. Please sign-up/RSVP at the Senior Center by dropping by or calling 978-640-4480. This should prove to be a most interesting seminar. The public is welcome.
The Mens Group next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 14th at 9:00 AM. All men 60+ are welcome.
Tickets are now available for the Red Hat 9th Anniversary Dinner that will be held on Wednesday, February 20th. The cost is $30 per Belle and includes a family style dinner with the main course being Sirloin and Chicken Francese. Entertainment will follow the meal. The last day to purchase a ticket will be Thursday, February 14th.
The Silvertones will hold a dance at the Senior Center on Friday, February 22th from 7-10 PM. Tickets are available at the door at $10 per person. Refreshments are served mid evening. Public welcome.
Dr. Smith will conduct a podiatry clinic at the Senior Center on Saturday, March 9th. Tickets will be available this Thursday, February 7th. A co-pay of $15 is due upon registration. This clinic is limited to 35 Tewksbury Senior Citizens on a first come basis. The clinic is funded in part by the Council on Aging.

- A Sunday Breakfast Benefit on March 3rd from 7:30 to 11:00 AM
- A Corned Beef Dinner Dance on Friday, March 8th with dancing to the music of the Perfect Match Band
- A Senior Center Yard Sale on Saturday, March 23rd from 9 AM to 2 PM with tables space available at $15 per table or 2 tables for $25. Sing-ups will begin this Thursday, February 7th. More information will be noted in the up-coming weeks.
Again, we remind Tewksbury Senior Citizens that help with Fuel Assistance applications are done at the Senior Center. To obtain information on the fuel assistance program and/or to schedule an appointment call 978-640-4482. The eligibility guidelines are: one person household up to $31,218; two family household up to $40,824; family of three $50,515; and, family of four $60,035. There are further guidelines for larger families. Younger families may call the Billerica Veteran's Agent at 978-671-0968 or Community Teamwork at 978-459-6161 for information and assistance. Every little bit helps these days so don't hesitate to apply if you qualify.
Our AARP Tax Assistance Volunteers will now begin to assist Seniors with their tax returns. To take advantage of this free service one needs to sign-up at the Senior Center by dropping by or calling Jan 978-640-4482. Jan will arrange an appiontment for you and send you a confirmation memo with information on the documentation needed. Please note that this services is for standard returns that do not include multiple tax schedules.
