National Gaming Day was a chance to parents and children to get back to basics and unplug their recreational fun.

In a world filled with X-Box, Wii and Gameboy, board games have become a bit archaic to some.

But on Satuday, libraries across the country asked families to simplify and unplug with National Gaming Day. The Tewksbury Public Library participated in the event and visitors had the chance to replace SuperMario Bros. and World of Warcraft with games such as Boggle, Scrabble, Monopoly and Connect Four.
