A 21-year-old Lowell man sustained life-threatening injuries Tuesday night when the car he was driving on Andover Street left the road and slammed into a utility pole.

According to Tewksbury Police, dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting the accident at 9:17 p.m. at 1411 Andover St. near Sheridan Lane.

Rescue crews had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the man from his Black Toyota Camry. A MedFlight was immediately requested and arrived at a nearby landing zone at approximately 9:34 p.m.

Why is one of the "Related Topics" in this article "Fatal Crash"? The article clearly states that the man "sustained life-threatening injuries" so why mislead?

No intention to mislead. "Related topics" may be a bit of a misnomer in some cases. Perhaps better would be "similar topics."

It's a wonder this doesn't happen more often, considering how some people drive on that stretch of road.
