Lowell Woman Arrested For Allegedly Dealing Drugs

Arrest came as the result of resident complaints about drug activity in their neighborhood.

 

A Lowell woman is facing drug charges after Tewksbury Police officers allegedly witnessed her selling cocaine in the Woburn Street area.

According to information provided by Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, Ana Ramirez, 55, 183 Moody St., Lowell, was arrested Tuesday night, Sept. 20.

Tewksbury Police Officers, with help from officers from Lowell and Billerica, set up a drug surveillance operation in the area of Woburn Street and Lowell Street. According to Sheehan, the department had received numerous complaints from residents drug activity in that area.

According to the police report, the officers saw Ramirez conduct a drug transaction while behind the wheel of a 1996 brown Infiniti on James Avenue. Shortly afterward, Ramirez was pulled over and she was arrested and charged with Distribution of a Class B substance (Cocaine).
