Man Charged In Connection With Motel 6 Carjacking, Kidnapping

Victim escaped in Lowell, suspect arrested in Roxbury.

A 23-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly carjacking a man at knifepoint in the parking lot of Motel 6.

Jeffrey Venter of Boston, no know address, was arrested in Roxbury on Jan. 1 with the help of the Boston Police Department. Tewksbury Police had obtained an arrest warrant on Ventner, charging him with Kidnapping, Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Carjacking, Armed Robbery, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault and Battery.

According to Tewksbury Police, the incident began on Dec. 26, when officers responded to the Motel 6, 95 Main St., after receiving a report about a man being kidnapped and forced into a vehicle by another man.

The victim reportedly escaped the vehicle in Lowell and managed to call police and tell them that Ventner had stolen his car.

The victim told police that he had been held at knifepoint at the Motel 6 and that Ventner threatened to kill him if he didn't comply with his demands. The victim claims Ventner also robbed him and punched him several times.

The stolen vehicle was later discovered in Roxbury.

Venter was arraigned at Lowell District Court on January 2 and is being held on $2,500 bail.

Very good question Who Me - looks like a whole lot more illegal activities have been reported at Motel 6, Home Depot, and Walmart lately. Haven't seen any action at the Caswell......

In my field, certain cities and towns have a fine system to the business owner for burdening the taxpayers needlessly. I think the town should take steps to mandate police details in a progressive manner. Would create a deterent for those who may be coming to tbury with nefarious intentions. Also puts a financial incentive for the hotel keepers to be more diligent in their guests dealings as they will be picking up the costs for the policing instead of us. Wonder how many delayed responses to other crimes are created because tad is tied up at one of these places?

Why is this guy being held on $2,500.00 bail for a crime that is a federal offense?

My question exactly! If only he headed a little further north and crossed state lines...punishment would be out of Massachusetts hands!

Also, my question exactly! Kidnapping, armed assault with intent to commit murder, armed robbery, carjacking, assault with a dangerous weapon.....excuse me, but only $2,500 bail? Who is the judge that ordered that? This is one reason why our streets are not safe.

We need to start exterminating humans who cant or wont get along and follow the laws of nature and this land. Oh ya, and stop the housing subsidy's for anyone connected to or convicted of crimes against humanity, drug conviction etc we also need weekly drug testing, forced birth control for any Gov'tENTITLEMENT program ....where do you think Jeffery will be in 10 years? see where I'm going??

I just want to say the there is more Crime at Motel 6, home depot and Walmart then at the caswell. Yes the caswell is an eye sore in town. The family should not have their business taken away. Shut them down instead. Let them sell the land. People in town have to look past the fact that it is the caswell and look at the big picture. The town should not he aloud to take their propery.
