New Year Brings New Burglaries Across Town

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The new year brought with it a new rash of break-ins and attempted break-ins across Tewksbury.

On Thursday, Jan. 3, a Chandler Street resident called police at 5:48 p.m. and reported that her home had been broken into. Officers responded and a report was filed.

That same day, at 8:37 a.m., there was a report of stolen aluminum at Boutiette's Auto Body, 2115 Main St. A report was filed.

At 12:08 p.m., also on Jan.3, a Charme Road resident called police to report that two of his grandchildren's sleds had been stolen some time overnight from their residence.

At 1:11 p.m., again on Jan. 3, the owner of John Ryan's Pubs called police, reporting he had discovered that someone had attempted to break into the business. An officer was dispatched to the scene and a report was filed.

Arrests:

Patrick K. Fullerton Jr., 24, 20 Main St., Wilmington, was arrested on Jan. 1 on a warrant.

Additional incidents:

On Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 8:23 a.m., rescue crews responded to a report of a single car accident at 1501 Whipple Road. Reports indicated that the car had slammed into a tree and that the driver might be trapped. The car sustained significant damage but the driver managed to escape injury.

They're getting ballsy... Jon Ryan's Pub is right on a main road and cars are driving by all the time... I guess they weren't too concerned with getting caught. Looks like I will be investing in some type of alarm system.

Some one's going to end up getting shot trying to break in to the wrong home! I'd be interested to know how many gun owners there are in Tewksbury.

The only problem Danielle is that we live in Mass and the homeowner would most likely go to jail

MA gun laws protect the criminal more than the victim/innocent citizen! So frustrating!

Is this true? Can someone in town leadership comment on this? We have second hand stores, smoke shops and now gun stores?
