No TV Coverage? No Problem. Patch Will Blog Live At Tonight's Town Meeting!

Can't make it to tonight's special Town Meeting? Tewksbury Patch is the only way you can follow all of the debate and votes LIVE.

While town officials continue to negotiate with cable providers regarding live cable feeds at the new Tewksbury High School, live broadcasts from the school are not possible on public access television.

That means no live coverage of tonight's Special Town Meeting (start time 7 p.m.).

But have no fear. Tewksbury Patch will be at tonight's meeting and we will be blogging live, providing updates on the debates and the votes on several key warrant articles.

We'll go live around 6:30 p.m. Log on and join the conversation. We will keep blogging for another half-hour after the Special Town Meeting concludes.

The Special Town Meeting Warrant is attached to the story as a PDF document.

Hope people still make an attempt to attend what we fought so hard for to keep this Spring....our Open Town Meeting! Though appreciative of the coverage blog in lieu of it not being televised....ultimately, the missing and most important part will be your actual VOTE on the issues/articles.

Oh agreed Karyn. We certainly urge as many people as possible to attend. Many very important articles. Also, if you have an I-phone and you attend the meeting, you can still follow the blog and participate in the conversation.

Malcolm, the technology is there. The problem, which you may have known had you read the article, is that negotiations are currently taking place between the town and cable television providers about live broadcasts. Once that is all settled, live broadcasts can happen.

that is not specifically what the article says. It maybe true.
PS missed the old gym, however, the sound system was much better in the new auditorium.

I just hope that people in this town show up for the meeting. There was no Town Warrant sent out to the voters in this town so everyone is advised that there is going to be a meeting tonight. Not everyone in this town has access to a computer or even a newspaper. I happened to be in a public place today and just happened to ask someone that I struck up conversation with to ask her if she was attending the meeting tonight. Her answer to me was "What Meeting"? This is very sad!!
