UPDATED: One Traffic Stop Equals Two Arrests

Game of Chicken on Route 38 results in arrest.

 

A Tewksbury Police officer pulled over a vehicle at the Stadium Plaza on Friday based on the fact that the occupants were acting suspiciously.

Those suspicions proved justified and both occupants are now facing charges.

After a quick license check, driver Michael Resnick, 50, of 20 Maurice St., Manchester, NH, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

His passenger, Danielle Rapson, 33, of 101 Chandler St., Nashua, NH, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

It was a game of chicken and he lost

Officers responded to a stretch of Route 38 early Saturday morning after receiving a report that a man and a woman were in the road playing chicken.

The man, Thomas James Darragh, 21, of 5 Sudbury Ave., Wilmington, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Drunk driving arrest

Around 2:30 Saturday morning, an officer pulled over Kenneth Budka, 26, of 3 Bennett St., Woburn, at 957 Main St. for speeding and a marked lanes violation.

After a brief investigation, Budka was also charged with OUI-liquor and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

Violation of a protection order

A Lynnfield man was arrested Sunday afternoon when he walked into the Police Headquarters to drop off his children after a visitation. According to the police report, earlier in the day, the man's ex-wife had called the station, alleging the man had violated a restraining order. Police were able to confirm the violation and arrested John C. Waddell, 42, of 28 Crescent Ave,. Lynnfield, when he came into the station. He is charged with violating an abuse prevention order.

Mailboxes with a side of eggs

A man walked into Police Headquarters around 3:30 a.m. Sunday to report two teens had been knocking over mailboxes on South Street. Officers responded to the scene and noted that two mailboxes had been knocked down but not destroyed. Further investigation found a full carton of eggs in front of one of the South Street homes. There was no indication that any homes had been egged yet.

Tewksbury teen arrested in  North Reading

Ashley Lundin, 19, of 49 Baldwin Street, Tewksbury was arrested in North Reading for operating under the influence and possession of a class B and class D substance.
