Police Say Four Home Theater Systems Is Two Too Many
Lawrence man allegedly tried to steal two home theater systems from Walmart.
A Lawrence man was arraigned in Lowell District Court last week, charged with trying to steal a pair of home theater systems from the Tewksbury Walmart.
Tewksbury Police say Confesor Salazar, 39, of 51 Woodland St., Apt. 2, Lawrence, tried to use a phony receipt to walk out Walmart with the electronics, valued at more than $400, according to an article published in the Lowell Sun.
Police allege Salazar had a female companion purchase two home theater systems. Then he met her outside where she handed him her receipt. He then re-entered the store and tried to leave with two additional systems he had left in a shopping cart, according to the Sun article.
