The cast of characters in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation are priceless and always make me laugh/get in the decorating spirit!

A Christmas Carol is my favorite, I know too many E. Scrooges in my life, and I vow never become one. I do like other moves on the list as well.

In terms of movies that stay with you in a profound way, hands down "It's a Wonderful Life." When it comes to laughs and a movie you can watch over and over, "Christmas Vacation." The squirrel scene is incredible, and the characters are so lovable.

I watch classics like "A Christmas Story" and "Christmas Vacation" yearly, but there's nothing like Jimmy Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life" to sort of put things into the proper perspective at the holidays.

White Christmas for the song and dance or It's a Wonderful Life for the great story- can't go wrong with either one of them.

Did anyone else grow up with Prancer? That was unique and a little corny but still pretty awesome.

I have not seen some of those listed in the comments and would now like to, thanks. (For instance I haven't learned whether Ralphie got his bb gun!!)

Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer is priceless, but my first choice now is Tim Burton's classic A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Love them all and hard to choose just one ... something happens to me each time I watch a non-Christmas movie like "The Way We Were" with Redford and Streisand. which is aways shown somewhere on TV around Christmas, and same goes for a few others that have only a slight Christmas theme, also shown this time of year. Guess if I really had to make a choice, "It's a Wonderful Life" would be the winner, then "Miracle on 34th STreet", which should really be No. 1 for me since I'm from the Big Apple and there is NO place like NYC at Christmas for me!

For fans of the B-grade horror genre - "Santa Slay" starring Bill Goldberg is an unforgettable watch.

Goldberg, one of history's pre-eminent Jewish athletes(sorry, Sandy Koufax), plays Santa. A Santa, who, a thousand years earlier lost a bet in a curling match. The opening scene involves him exacting his current day revenge on Fran Drescher and Chris Kattan.

I lasted half an hour. I wish I could forget it. But I can't.
