Tewksbury Memorial High Senior Courtney Spinelli was awarded a $2000.00 scholarship from the 2012 Stacy Stott Cheerleading Scholarship Fund.

Stott was a Lowell high graduate, honors student and an excellent cheerleader who was about to begin her freshman year on scholarship at Regis College when she was killed in an auto accident in August, 2002.

According to the Scholarship Fund's web page, "The Stacy Stott Memorial Fund was established by Stacy’s mom, Susan Stott, shortly after the loss of Stacy ... Ultimately, we strive to create a self-sustaining fund to continue Stacy’s legacy while helping others to become future, caring leaders."

In addition to being an outstanding cheerleader, Courtney is also an accomplished member of the Tewksbury High track and field team.
