POTD: Temmallo Given Hero's Welcome By TBBL

Tewksbury Boys Basketball League Shows its appreciation to a past player and member of the armed services.

Today's Photo of the Day was sent in by Ken Miano, president of the Tewksbury Youth Basketball League.

The Tewksbury Boys Basketball League honored one of their past players, home for a 10-day Christmas leave before being deployed to Afghanistan in January.

Derek Temmallo, a member of the US Army, home for a brief visit with his family over Christmas, was awarded a plaque and game ball in appreciation for his service and dedication to his country and to take in a Senior Division Bucks game.

Derek’s dad, Chris is the head coach of the team and his brother Robert is a player. With the approval of the Senior Division coaches, the league moved the schedule around in order to accommodate the event.

Ken Miano, the Director of the TBBL, presented the plaque and game ball in appreciation of his service to his country and the community at large.
