Local hero to deliver keynote speech.

Major Stephen Flanagan, a Tewksbury native, will give the keynote speech for the town's annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11 on the Town Common.

He is presently working toward a graduate degree from Harvard University and will ultimately be assigned to teach at West Point.

The Veterans Day Ceremony, which will begin promptly at 11 a.m., also features an opening statement from Todd Johnson, chairman of the Board of Selectmen, as well as a speech by student Barrett Hodgson on "What the Pledge of Allegience Means To Me."

Music will be provided by Arlene Wright and the Tewksbury Swinging Seniors, as well as by students from the North Street School and the Tewksbury High Band.

the opening prayer will be provided by Lt. Col. Donald Sheehan (ret.).
