Redmen Roundup: Girls Track Runs Past NDA, Boys Hockey Cruises
Girls hockey dealt first loss of the season.

The Redmen ran past NDA thanks to strong performances throughout their roster. Tewksbury took sweeps in the 50 hurdles, 50 dash and 300 and victories in three other events.
In the 50 hurdles, Kelly Quigley took first (7.7), followed by Jess Amadee (7.9) and Ashley Callahan (8.0). In the 50 Dash, it was Christine Baptiste taking first (6.7), followed by Paige Winn (6.8) and Kelsie Bradley (6.8). In the 300, it was Jen Shultz taking first (42.1), followed by Kendall Paolella (44.6) and Taylor Laycox (45.2).
Other wins went to Amadee in the high jump (4-8), Olivia Boudreau in the 1000 (3:37.6) and Becca Davies in the mile (5:55.4).
Acton-Boxboro 6, Tewksbury/Methuen 2
The Red Rangers got a taste of what the top competition is like in girls hockey in Massachusetts and were dealt their first loss of the season (3-1-2).
Acton-Boxboro, ranked No. 14 in the state, was dominant from start to finish. Tewksbury/Metheun goalie Taylor Lirakis made a whopping 53 saves, including 30 in the first period.
Tewksbury 6, Wayland 1
Pat Doherty and Ryan Petti scored two goals each to led the Redmen to an easy 6-1 win over Wayland on Wednesday.
Tewksbury will be back in action Saturday at the Walter Brown Arena in Boston against Boston Latin.
