Russell Out, Two Others Enter School Committee Race
Seventh person takes out nomination papers for the Board of Selectmen.
A race that looked like it would have an empty slot on the Tewksbury Municipal Election ballot has taken an interesting turn.
According to information provided by Town Clerk Denise Graffeo, two new potential candidates have thrown their hats into the ring for seats on the Tewksbury School Committee. Raymond Lisiecki and Lisa Puccia both took out nomination papers last week for the two available seats on the committee. With incumbent Krissy Polimeno already officially on the ballot, there could be a contested Tewksbury School Committee election for the first time in three years.
Incumbent Joseph Russell announced two weeks ago that he will not be seeking another term.
Puccia was unsuccessful in a race for School Committee in 2010 and had pulled papers in 2011, then changed her mind and removed her name from consideration.
In the meantime, an already exciting race for the Board of Selectmen got a bit more crowded when Robert Marcin took out nomination papers. This would be Marcin's second run for office. He made an unsuccessful big for the Board of Selectmen in 2012.
Candidates have until Feb. 19 to return nomination papers with at least 50 valid signatures of registered Tewskbury voters to secure a spot on the April 6 ballot.

Really????? Should we replay the tape of last year's debate??? This has brought us all to the top of the rollercoaster that we call the "Crazy Train". Entertainment value aside, this is just so very wrong. (I am so sorry if I have hurt this person's feelings, but PLEASE, for the love of a higher power, just don't do it!)

Perhaps he's a glutton for punishment....sorry but I just can't even imagine "why" either.

Rusty, please tell me this was a fail at sarcasm. Why would you want someone who pays attention, attends the meetings, has a brain and is open to debate on issues to "go away"? C'mon now... you really want someone who is out of touch and incompetent to do the job? You are not really that much of a masochist, are you?

I do not think that anyone willing to put the time and effort into running for political office should be the recipients of insults.
