Several Domestic Assault Arrests Over Super Bowl Weekend

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

National statistics indicate that, for a variety of reasons, Super Bowl weekend has the highest rate for domestic violence in the United States. Such was the case this past weekend as Tewksbury Police made several arrests for domestic assault and battery.

  • Sunday, Feb. 3, Justin R. Messina, 23, 38 Wightman Road, Tewksbury, was arrested on two counts of domestic assault and battery at 9:30 a.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 3, 16-year-old juvenile male was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery at 9:42 a.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 3, Jacqueline Campbell, 35, 30 Pratt St., Tewksbury, was arrested at 12:39 a.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Victim required medical attention.
  • Saturday, Feb. 2, Tyler Bulger, 20, of 171 Patricia Drive, Tewksbury, was arrested at 6:35 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.
  • Monday, Feb. 4, Stephen Sikorsky, 59, 209 Middlesex St., Lowell, was arrested at Motel 6 at 10:05 a.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The victim was taken by ambulance to Lowell General Saints Campus for treatment.

Additional arrests:

John R. Griffin, 23, 7 Woodside Ave., Wilmington, was arrested on Feb. 4 and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.

Vincent M. Querci, 18, Wilmington, was arrested on Feb. 2 and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.

Brock A. Friedman, 35, 2 Newton Ave., Tewksbury, was arrested on Feb. 3 and chaged with Possession of a Class A Drug and Possession of a Class B Drug.

Christine M. Gikonyo, 39, of 95 Andrews St., Lowell, was arrested on Feb. 2and charged with false impersonation and identity theft.

Christopher Bruni, 35, 5 Harvard St., Gloucester, was arrested on Feb. 1 on five outstanding warrants

Additional incidents:

On Saturday, Feb. 2, at 12:02 p.m., a resident called police to report she had found a small box laying by the side of the road on Whipple Road. She said the box contained a medal and some coins.
