Shell Gas Station Robbed for Third Time in a Year

Thief makes off with a cash register in early morning heist.

 

For the third time in less than a year the Shell Gas Station and convenience store at 1975 Main St. has been robbed.

According to a police report, investigators are searching for a man who entered the store just after 4 a.m. Sunday and made off with a cash register.

The suspect was described by a witness as a white male with a reddish color goatee. The witness said the man was wearing a gray hoodie North Face sweatshirt. It is not known if he had a weapon.

A witness also told police that he saw a smaller size, black SUV with a loud exhaust heading south on Route 38 from the store.

According to the report, an officer located the cash register on the ground at 1291 Shawsheen St.

Other arrests:

Martin G. Tolson, 44, 168 Bishop Road, Fitchburg, was arrested outside Jade East, 433 Main St. He is charged with disorderly conduct.

Diane Karslian, 41, 102 Newbury St., Danvers, was arrested after a motor vehicle stop in front of Wicked Cheesy, 725 Main St. She is charged with OUI-liquor marked lanes violations and lights violations.

Seriously, these businesses need to get better surveillance systems. They need better defense. Someone is going to get killed.
