Simple Traffic Stop Leads To Multiple Charges

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

When a Tewksbury Police officer pulled over Jeremy Gleaton early Saturday morning, it seemed like a simple license plate violation.

What was found inside the car resulted in Gleaton's arrest.

The officer pulled Gleaton over at the intersection of Livingston and Kendall just before 3 a.m. on Nov. 19. A glance inside the vehicle gave the officer cause to search the vehicle. During the course of the search, the officer found alcohol, marijuana and illegal fireworks. Gleaton was also found to be in carrying an unspecified weapon.

Gleaton, 20, of 697 Shawsheen St., Tewksbury was charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol, possesssion of a gram or less of marijuana, possession of illegal fireworks, carrying a dangerous weapon and a number plate violation.

Other arrests:

Michael Panaggio, 34, 2142 Commonwealth Ave., Newton, was arrested Sunday, Nov. 20, and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Michael R. Harlow, 26, of 7 Harjean St., Billerica, was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 20 around 4 a.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Alexandro N. Matos, 35, 70 Compaw St. Apt. 1R, Lowell, was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 19, around 11 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle after his license had been revoked, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
