Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

TELL US: Who Makes a Difference in Tewksbury?

Help showcase people who are doing great things in your community with our new feature, Count Us In.

Your neighbor who volunteers at the library, your child’s bus driver, and the Little League coach in your community may not seem to have much in common at first glance.

But Patch’s new initiative, Count Us In, aspires to bring together all Good Samaritans by highlighting residents who are exemplary at making your community a more positive place.

It could be some of those terrific volunteers at the Tewksbury Community Food Pantry or maybe Linda Brabant or some of her great crew over at the Senior Center. How about Noelle Boc or some of the other awesome staffers and volunteers at the Tewksbury Public Library. Or maybe even a teacher that has changed your child's educational life.

Partnering with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (HPHC), Count Us In aims to illustrate HPHC's values. They believe that “amazing things happen when people work together” and that is why we want to share stories about just that.

If you know someone who exemplifies being a good neighbor, volunteer or teacher—or someone who has simply helped the community in an inspiring way—please tell us about it in the comments section below. Your local editor will keep an eye on the conversation and will be writing articles about all of the amazing people and stories you share.

We welcome all great stories coming from great people in the community.

I'll start. I say Herb Post. He has worked tirelessly for years with Tewksbury Youth Skating. The number of hours he volunteers is countless and the enthusiasm he shows every kid is amazing. He is a great guy and I think he should be recognized for the dedication he has to the boys and girls who have gone through the skating programs here in Tewksbury.

J&B butcher Shop makes a difference. Extremely giving business, cannot thank them enough for what they’ve done to help my son, his friend and his friends family.

Herb Post is a great guy. He has done so much for the community of Tewksbury, Esspeacially it's youth. He devotes his time to help others and volunteers through Tewksbury youth ice hockey ass. And Tewksbury youth lacrosse. He is a caring and giving person. Ask anyone who knows herb post, and you will never hear anything negative about him. He is one of my biggest role models, and there is no one else I truly look up to as much as him. Personally he has done so much for me, and he is a good friend, I consider him a father, and he has done so much for many others. No one else deserves this more than him. Herb Post is the man.
