For 13 straight years, the Tewksbury Community Food Pantry has held a benefit golf tournament at the Tewksbury Country Club.

Much has changed over the years. Participation has grown, the TCC Clubhouse was constructed.

But one thing has reamined the same -- the tournament has never been rained out.

This year's tournament featured 71 golfers teeing it up under sunny skies on Aug. 10. The winning team, with a score of 7-under par was Paul Kelley, Mark Kelley, Seth Starr and Janet Bronstein.

Closest to the pin winners were Dot Hardock and Carl Svenson, both of Tewksbury. The long drive winners were Michele Boutin of Tewksbury and DJ Peterson.

According to Tournament Director Todd Johnson, the even raised about $10,000 for the pantry to purchase food for the 250 households it presently serves.
