Tewksbury High showed off its patriotism and reached out with open arms to local veterans with a powerful and moving ceremony on Wednesday.
School Committee member Dennis Francis served as keynote speaker for the event and shared a touching personal account of an encounter with a Vietnam veteran that contributed to his desire to serve his country.
A combination of music, testimony and the presence of numerous local veterans, including several faculty members, made for a memorable event.
