Tewksbury Man Charged With Assaulting Elderly Family Member

A Tewksbury man faces felony assault charges after allegedly injuring a family member during a domestic dispute Sunday afternoon (April 29).
Tewksbury Police received a call just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday from a woman who said that a family member had shoved her out of the way and pushed his way into their home. She told police she wanted the man removed.
A short time later, she called back and said the man had left and described the car he was driving. Officers responded to the scene and discovered the woman had suffered minor injuries.
Another officer located and pulled over the car and, after a brief struggle, placed the driver under arrest.
Brian Saber, 35, 33 Bay State Ave., Tewksbury, was charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 (or disabled) with injury, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Clerk alerts police to alleged serial drunk driver (April 29)
On Sunday, April 29, just after 6 p.m., police received a call from the clerk at the Shell Station, 1975 Main St. The clerk said that a man had just staggered into his store, then staggered back out and got into his car. He appeared to be intoxicated.
Officers responded to the scene and an officer spoke with the customer, who was still sitting in his car. However, the man refused to give his name to the officer and suddenly started his car and took off out of the parking lot. He finally stopped at the intersection of Shawsheen and Kenneth, where officers placed him under arrest.
Edward Bettano, 52, 85 Fairway Drive, was charged with OUI-liquor (fifth offense), operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to identify himself to a police officer.
Teens allegedly drinking on roof of Home Goods store (April 28)
On Saturday, at 9:44 p.m., a Tewksbury Police officer spotted a group of teens on the roof of the Home Goods store, 1900 Main St. Further investigation indicated that the three teens had been drinking alcohol and all were placed under arrest.
Arrested were a 16 year-old juvenile, Carter Jon Reddin, 17, 290 Kemp St., Dunstable, and Michael J. Silva, 18, 14 Pond View Lane, Tewksbury. All three were charged with being minors in possession of alcohol and trespassing.
Karen Pecorella, 35, 104 Delmont Ave., Apt. 23, Lowell, was arrested on April 29 and charged with OUI-liquor and leaving the scene of a property damage accident after allegedly striking a parked vehicle on Whipple Road.
Giancarlo Patriarca, 18, Wilmington, was arrested on April 28 and charged with OUI-drugs, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, failure to obey a stop sign, failure to signal and possession of 10 counterfeit notes.
