Tewksbury Native Killed In New Hampshire Snowmobile Accident
Man lost control of snowmobile while riding with his young son.
A 41-year-old Manchester, NH, was killed on Saturday when he crashed his snowmobile while riding with his young son in Auburn, NH.
Keith Ryan Jr., a native of Tewksbury, lost control of the vehicle, it hit a bump and soared approximately 70 feet before crashing into a brook, according to an article published on bostonherald.com.
Ryan's nine-year-old son, Aden, was riding in front of his father on the snowmobile just prior to the accident. Family members told the Boston Herald that Aden said his father saved his life by pushing him off the vehicle just before it went airborne.
The younger Ryan underwent surgery on his legs and is recovering in a New Hampshire Hospital.
Keith Ryan's girlfriend and two young daughters witnessed the accident, according to the Herald article.
The accident remains under investigation but family members told the Herald is appeared the throttle got stuck open.
Funeral arrangements for Keith Ryan are pending.
