Hasn't been a very good end of the year for the Matranga family in Tewksbury between the father ad the daughter getting arrested hope they get their lives on track

There is so much drug traffic coming in and going out of the town, The Tewksbury Police Dept.are doing a wonderful job getting this scum. Wouldn't it be nice if we could say someday it's all cleaned up, no more illegal drugs coming into our town? Keep up the good work, guys, everyone you take down one less selling and using.

19 yrs old, how sad is that! this isn't her first go around, when are the courts going to send her away?

Half the information in this article isn't even true information. This town is filled with people that love believing the first bad thing they hear about someone. No sympathy no remorse for those that are dragged in and set up into situations like this. These are people too and to make comments this cruel about people that you do not know personally especially when it comes to their family is a little much. Comments on the article is one thing, commenting your personal opinion on someone's family is another thing. Thats not what this website is for and I find some of these comments very disturbing.

@ "ME" they couldnt send her away due to lack of evidence and lack of product according to the arraignment. Combing the two arrests on that one individual less than 200$ seized and a total of two pills. Again, people that love to read and belive the first thing they see. THAT's why she wasn't sent away, and its sad to think the people leaving these comments are supposed to be ADULTS.

The TPD should go to TMHS and start with the kids there. Thats where alot of the drugs and medication abuse are takin place. They should show up different days and different times and more frequently then they are doing now. And have consequenses instead of slap on the wrist...i hope more is done soon

I am Stacy's aunt and I am in my fifties and don't have as much as a parking ticket,so when you go talking about someone's family you should no the fact. My mother always said if you don't have something good to say then don't say anything at all. Apparently your didn't. So I would appreciate you not trashing my name. oxycodone abuse has become a big problem in Tewksbury. The TPD should crack down on the pills and as well as heroin because once the pills are out of tewksbury all the addicts will go straight to heroin as an alternative. Opiates are a bigger problem than people imagine and there needs to be more awareness on the subject. But you should never judge a family based on what they have done in thier lives this type of thing could happen to anyones kids. People think that their kids would never get into something such as drug abuse but those are the kids who it happens too. Just because someones not a "thug" doesnt mean its impossible for them to get a drug problem. This could happen to anyone and any family.So just because addiction hasnt affected you or your family yet dont think it wont because anything can happen.

They need to bring the awareness into the schools at a younger age than the high school. Unfortunately, for many kids, that's too late. 6th or 7th graders could benefit from hearing some of these speakers they bring into the high school.

Reading some of these comments make embarrassed for this town...not only for the drugs but for imbeciles threatening one another. It's better to be silent and thought of as a fool rather than open your mouth (or post on a public forum) and prove everyone right.

Everyone stating that she is a terrible person and should be put away have you never done anything wrong? Are you perfect? I doubt it i smoke pot and currently have no license am i horrible? I think that we can all agree that NO ONE want drug deals going down in out town. Didn't half of us move away from the city to ESCAPE this kind of thing? Drug & Alchol problems are not just a family issue but a community issue! It isn't going away. Thank you to TPD for doing their job! Without proper drug & alchol awareness education in our primary schools this issue will only continue to get worse. It is easy to sit behing a computers and throw a person & their family under the bus! BUT NO one & NO family is beyond reproach when it comes to drug or alchol addiction! Everyone knows, works or is related to a person who is or has suffered through addiction of one type or another! My grandfather used to say "THERE GO I....BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD". Show a bit of compassion for those people & their families that are dealing with addiction and other issues!

To see such hateful comments posted about a 19 year old girl who is obviously struggling with a substance abuse problem is disgraceful. As a Mother, I would be devastated to read such hurtful comments about my child.

For those of you who feel the need to sit back and write such horrible things about this child and her family, please remember drug addiction does not discriminate and this could happen to someone you hold near and dear to your heart. I am thankful this Christmas that I have two happy healthy young children and I can only hope that I can keep them safe, healthy and drug free.

Can you tell me why Stacy's face is posted on the patch and on the police website. We have two grown men arrested for child porn and no pictures posted. Well talk about special treatment. I have a sixteen year old daughter and would like to know what they look like. Does it matter if they have great jobs and live in luxury homes. Apparently so. Lets get these pictures posted and start being fair.

Thanks Bill, if we don't see it soon, I myself will go down the police station and request it. I drop my daughter off every morning at Catamount and will not leave her alone to wait for the bus and this guys are yards away.
