Tewksbury Soldier Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Texas
Spc. David Mulno lost control of his bike while riding with friends on a mountain road.
Army Spc. David A. Mulno, a Tewksbury native and 2007 graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School, was killed Sunday morning in a motorcycle accident in El Paso, Tx.
He was 23.
El Paso Sheriff's deputies reported that Mulno was riding with friends on the Transmountain Highway near a summit in the Franklin Mountains, when he lost control of his 2004 Black Kawasaki and struck a curb and then a guardrail, according to a report on KFOX14.
The accident took place just after 9 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time. Spc. Mulno was pronounced dead at the scene.
Spc. Mulno graduated from basic training at Fort Sill in Oklahoma in 2010. He was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso. Postings on his Facebook page indicate that motorcycle riding was a passion of his.
Spc. Mulno is survived by his parents, Harry and Cathy Mulno of Tewksbury, as well as a younger sister.
Funeral plans are pending.

David was the type of person that made you glad to have met him. I looked forward to seeing him at work. He had a buoyant, positive outlook on life that made you feel better no matter how your day was going and he was always the first person to say "Hey, how's it going?". He had such potential and I am sorry he won't be able to fulfill that potential. You will be missed David. SGT. Eric Tong.
