Three Men Arrested In Violent Home Invasion
Victim beaten, $20,000 stolen in Motel 6 Incident
Three men are in custody facing multiple felony charges, after a brutal armed robbery/home invasion on Thursday.
Brandon Dorrington 24 of 45 Bowler St., Lynn, Jared Dorrington, 18, of 9 Sterling Place, Chelmsford and Brady Yanosick, 18, of 4 Riverhurst Road Apt. 235, Billerica, were arrested Saturday at their residences by detectives from the Tewksbury Criminal Bureau, according to Chief Timothy Sheehan.
"My detectives worked round the clock to bring these perpetrators to justice," said Sheehan. "I am very proud of their commitment to their community and the law enforcement profession. This is a true testament to the dedication and work ethic of my personnel."
The arrests stem from an incident that took place Thursday at Motel 6. Police allege Yanosick and the Dorringtons forced their way into the room of the victim and assaulted him. According to investigators, the victim reported that he was struck several times with a baton and handcuffed. He said his attackers also tried to duck-tape his mouth shut. The victims said one of the attackers concealed his face with a ski mask and the second concealed his face with a bandana.
Robbery appears to have been the motive in the attack, as the victim reported that the three men stole $20,000 in cash from him. Police did not immediately reveal why the victim had $20,000 in his motel room.
According to Sheehan, the victim sustained serious bodily injury in the attack. He suffered a fractured nose, fractured hand, and multiple contusions on his upper body and legs from being struck with the baton.
Each suspect is charged with five separate felonies. Brandon Dorrington is charged with home invasion/armed assault in a dwelling, armed robbery, kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy. Jared Dorrington has been charged with home invasion/armed assault in a dwelling, armed robbery while masked, kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy. Brady Yanosick was charged with home invasion/armed assault in a dwelling, armed robbery while masked, kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.

This is the second incident in a week that one of the suspects was a Lynn resident. I guess when they say Lynn, the city of sin, is politically correct. Good Job Tewksbury Police and detectives! Looks like a long summer ahead of you. I guess the next question is why did the victim had $20,000 cash on him. Smells like a drug deal by me.

Sorry but I take serious offense to this..not everyone from Lynn is bad. I grew up in Lynn and now reside in Tewksbury and have for 8 years...there is crime in every city and town. Lynn was a beautiful lace to grow up.

Jane, just out of curiosity, how do you know the suspects? It sounds like you know them personally somehow.

FYI --- I have removed a comment which I determined to have crossed the line by making physical threats against another reader. In addition, to clarify, all information in this article was released publicly, not "leaked" by chief of Police Timothy Sheehan and was based on reports filed by Tewksbury Police officers. If there is another side of this story that needs to be told, I am always available by phone or email for an "on the record" conversation.

the victim stole a substantial amount of money from one of the defendants prompting them to take action. i am no way condoning what they did or justifying it but thats the "otherside" of the story if you will.
