Our Community event was great this year....pre-lit lights and all to add to the festive atmosphere! Kudos and thanks to all involved to make it a success. And I MUST say.... a "perfect" Santa was born this year...spot on Ho, ho, ho's, jovial enthusiasm and all! He should DEFINITELY keep the gig! (wink, wink!) :)

There was a more perfect person that was born 2000 years ago. His name is Jesus Christ. Christmas was because of Him. And not one mention of His name or the purpose Christmas is celebrated. I wonder why. GOD HELP US ALL

I must say having the lights on pre-ceremony was a bit odd. The kids really looking forward to the countdown and the lights coming on. I support turning the lights on at the beginning of the ceremony, just not before the ceremony. Other than that it was a good night.

I knew the lighting sequence had been changed for safety reasons and fully support that change to not have everyone stumbling around in the dark. Perhaps next year they can have the introduction at the beginning announce the countdown and then do it for the entire Common and then proceed with the singing/festivities from there. I think they tried to address the countdown part by lighting up the big pine tree at the end but unfortunately due to its positioning on the Common with relation to most of the crowd gathering you couldn't actually see it / being blocked from view.
