Glad they caught these scumbags. Nothing worse than getting into your car in the morning to find you've been robbed.

Bubba is expecting these two baby faced punks so hopefully they will be locked up for a awhile. About 18 years ago a cinder block was thrown through my car window in a large parking lot at a business and they ripped the interior to shreds. Stolen CD's, stereo, even change in my console. The cinder block not only smashed the window but it took a huge chunk out of my dash as well. It was a pain in the ass and it infuriates me to read stories like this. Make an example out of these losers, enough with babying these people.

This is probably all drug-related. It's so easy to tell everyone to put these 20-year-old kids in jail, but that won't fix the problem. How about instead of calling them names and demanding they be punished, we offer them the help and treatment that they obviously need.

I personaly told him today myself how dussapointed in him I am. I only hope being caught in this will open his eyes as he told me it has and set him on the right path.

I for one am in favor of saving young kids from making stupid mistakes, one mistake shame on you, two mistakes shame on me. I truly hope for a turn around for these young boys. No one likes a theif or liar, but for the young kids that need guidance and some attention. What ever happened to you a kinder nation. (thats another story) My son is 13 and I can see that teenager change coming, oh god I hope even with guidance from his parents he will walk a straight line. All parents I'm sure wish the same.

Ed Manzi, no it doesn't mean he is a terrible person - but it also wasn't a mistake. A mistake is using the wrong color painting a ceiling or something along those lines. A mistake is unintentionally doing something incorrectly. This was repeated willfull acts that took advantage of innocent people. We need to change our way of looking at things. They also aren't boys, they are men. They are over the age of 18, they can drive cars, vote, drink, smoke, get married, serve in the military. That is no longer a boy. If they are guilty (which won't be decided until they have a trial), they made a choice to take advantage of unsuspecting people and they should pay a price for that decision. If this was your property they stole or damaged you would feel the same way. Why are the victims always forgotten today?

Ed, ONE big mistake? Lol! These are just a few of the things Howard has been caught and charged with, never mind the stuff he has done and got away with -

I'm glad that you support a well known local criminal who punches women in the face and commits numerous property crimes, Ed, because I'm sure what he needs is more adults like you in denial who will coddle him while he continues to abuse and steal from his community.

I feel bad also, but that doesn't mean that their acts should be discounted. That is how our society has eroded into the state of affairs they are in today. I'm not saying these men should be crucified over this but what about taking responsibility for your actions, making resitution for the damages - something. Not taking the attitude of they're good boys they made a mistake and then dropping it. That isn't helping anyone and it is especially not helping these "boys."

Ridiculous, good kids! Good kids (20 year olds) do not damage property and steal from others. Lock them up and send a message. Our nation is too soft on crime and the criminals know it. They deserve time in jail not probation and a slap on the wrist. You obviously do not know the meaning of the word ignorant if you think the ticked off people who are sick of the criminal activity are "ignorant". They did not smash a mailbox or something foolish, they broke into cars and stole. They are low life criminals. Bubba will like to see them real soon.

2:58 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2013

I completely agree with Nancy. It wasn't a "mistake", or mistake after mistake after mistake in this case. There is wrong-doing and genuine guilt transgressing and hurting others' lives. No doubt they do have problems and regardless of age they are not true adults. But they need to own up and their friends trying to excuse or defend them have to wise up. What they did was intolerable and shameful and they need to understand this, from the gut. Exposing their deeds making it public is part of the deal.

Breaking into one car... MAYBE someone could call that a mistake. Breaking into multiple cars.. not so much. I want the PD to find out where these scumbags - yes Amanda SCUMBAGS are fencing their stolen items. The buyers have to be stopped as well. Someone out in this area is accepting these obviously stolen items and giving them cash for their habits.

Let everyone keep in mind that we don't know how these boys grew up, what has happened to them, or if they have a substance abuse problem. Everyone is so quick to judge harshly without knowing all the facts. Keep your harsh judgements to yourself and pray that no one in your family ends up on this website being bashed by the entire community. Feel lucky that you have never been in the position these boys are now in. Have some compassion. At the very least, express your opinions in a respectful manner.

You are an enabler and you are downplaying a serious crime. What if that was your car or your house? Had they not been caught their list of victims would still be expanding. I for one will not keep my harsh judgements to myself, nor should anyone else who hates criminals. They were arrested for stealing from my neighbors and deserve to be called what they are, scumbag criminals.

I have been stolen from before and I was pissed off for a little bit, but i came to figure out that most things are replaceable. I think the bigger issue here is WHY were these guys stealing so brazenly? I by no means think that stealing is right. I just believe that it's not my place to judge people without hearing their whole story. It's really not your place either. I'm very sorry that your neighbors had their things stolen from them, It definitely isn't any fun.

Wilmington resident, who are you to tell me that it isn't my place to judge. You have the right to your opinion and so do I. I can make my judgement based on what I know and that is the fact of the matter. They stole from people, for whatever reason it does not matter. Drug addicted, who cares if that is their reason! They are thieves and preyed upon others. Most things are replaceable but that is not the issue here. These young men decided that they wanted to take from others and now they are criminals and need to pay the price. A twenty year old knows right from wrong and in my JUDGEMENT, they belong behind bars for awhile to think about things.

why are they stealing so brazenly ? because its easier to take from other people then go to work themselves ... a lot of you people are looking for an environmental cause as to why these two MEN are theives ... i just told you why ... they should be brought before the judge, and sworn into the marine corps for 6 yrs. it may save they're lives... these two cowboys are riding for a fall ..

I don't need to or want to know them on a personal level. No one should keep their mouths shut when it comes to thieves. They got caught, otherwise who knows what they would do next, nobody will ever know because luckily they were stopped before they started breaking into homes or worse. There are many people who would hurt these men if they broke into their property so it is best for them that they were caught and maybe they can start over and get on the right track to a productive life that doesn't involve preying on others. For the time being, tell it like it is, they are criminals in the eyes of 99% of society for what they did. You are right no one is perfect but that does not give them a pass on the public scrutiny. They obviously did not care about the people they stole from so why should anyone care about them right now?

Nancy

12:22 pm on Friday, March 1, 2013

I do not understand why some of these people keep referring to these two grown men as boys. They may be immature but nonetheless they are still grown men. By at least one of their repeated arrests it is obvious that at least one of them won't be turning his life around over this. The other one, who knows? But, they wont' be turning their lives around if people act as if this was nothing and they shouldn't be chastised for it. People need to understand their actions have consequences. This complete lack of personal accountability has become a national crisis and as long as people continue to make excuses for unacceptable behavior it is going to continue to deteriorate the very fiber of our lives. Society as a whole needs to start to once again hold people accountable for their actions for the betterment of all.

actually Nancy if you look in the dictionary the definition of mistake is an error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc. so please before you try to educate make sure you are right

I actually do know the dictionary definition of mistake. I still do not think that this crime fits into that category. They made a wilful decision to repeated break into other people's cars. In no way does that meet the expectations of a mistake. You are assuming they didn't know it was wrong due to poor reasoning skills or insufficient knowledge. I didn't see anywhere in this story that they were mentally impaired.

the way to prevent these crimes is to send a message that you will do jail time, followed by a long probabtion WITH DRUG TESTING . we're dealing with guys who got themselves a drug habit, [god forbid they work to pay for it] and pray on working folks, its that simple.. too many of you are saying "where did the system fail them"?? these young people these days strive to be "gangsters" like the scumbags in the rap world. i know plenty of peole who came from real tough backgrounds [not an upper middle class bedroom community like tewksbury] who have done everything in they're power to make themselves a better life, and have done it !!!.. your all looking for where to set the blame ? set it where it belongs, at the feet of the perps .. keep bailing them out and slapping them on the wrist, one day it will be a bank and hostages [hope your not in the bank then !!] and people are gonna get hurt ... do the crime, do the time ...

Dave

11:27 am on Saturday, March 2, 2013

Justice is for the victims not the people who committed the crime. I'm not saying they should not receive help and rehabilitation, but that is after justice is served and a sentence is given. They should not be given a slap on the wrist. I think time in the Military would help these young men but unfortunately the Military may not want them.
