"It was a very tense election," said town clerk-elect Denise Graffeo after the final results were tallied. Graffeo beat her boss, town clerk Mary Ann Nichols by just over 400 votes.
The other big winner, Doug Sears, was re-elected as selectman and said he looks forward to serving the town for another three years.
Ed Sullivan and Kathleen Brothers expressed disappointment with their losses, but praised the work of their campaign staff.
