What is Open and Closed on Labor Day

Government offices closed, restaurants open, recycling delayed.

 

Happy Labor Day Tewksbury!

Town Hall and all town offices are closed today. This includes the Senior Center and the Public Library. All schools, both public and private, are closed today, as well.

Also, recycling pickup will be delayed from Wednesday to Thursday this week because of the holiday.

All federal and state offices are also closed today. This includes the Post Office, as well as the State Department of Emergency Management and other state public health offices located off East Street on the campus of Tewksbury Hospital. The hospital itself is open for visitation.

Here is some additional information on what is open and closed on Labor Day.

  • Banks - All banks are closed on Labor Day.
  • Retail - Retail stores in town are open regular hours at the owner's discretion.
  • Bars, restaurants - All are open regular hours at the owner's discretion.
  • Lowell Regional Transit Authority - There will be no bus service on Labor Day.
