What's Open, What's Closed New Year's Day

A look at what you should expect to be open and closed in Tewksbury on New Year's.

 

Here's a look at what is open and what is closed Tuesday, Jan. 1, New Year's Day, a state and federal holiday.

  • All banks will be closed today.
  • The library will be closed and reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
  • Town Hall and all government offices will be closed and also reopen on Jan. 2.
  • The Senior Center will be closed and also reopen on Jan. 2.
  • The Post Office will be closed and there will be no mail delivery.
  • All schools are closed.
  • There is no trash pick-up today.
  • Supermarkets such as Market Basket will be open.
  • Liquor stores, retail stores, and restaurants will be open at the owner's discretion.
  • There will be no bus service by the Lowell Regional Transit Authority on New Year's Day.
